It was a village in the land of Bonilla de la Sierra and a place of the Lordship of Bonilla, belonging to the bishop 👼🏽 of the diocese of Ávila, until the lordships and universities of Villa y Tierra disappeared and the municipalities of the liberal regime were born. It belongs to the Piedrahíta judicial district.
