Fried Dill Pickles -A Favorite Appetizer You Can Have Ready FAST For Friends & Family Get Togethers
Fried Dill Pickles 1 jar (24 ounces) sliced dill pickles 1 egg, slightly beaten 2 Tablespoons All-Purpose flour Pinch of Cayenne Pepper (or to your taste) 1 1/2 cups All-Purpose flour 3/4 cup cornstarch 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon seasoned salt Vegetable oil (for frying) Ranch Dressing (optional), for dipping sauce Dry the pickles and reserve one cup of the pickle juice. Set aside. Dry the pickles with paper towels. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, seasoned salt and whisk together. In a smaller second bowl, combine the pickle juice, the beaten egg, cayenne pepper, and two tablespoons of flour. Whisk together and set aside. Place the vegetable oil in your frying pan and heat to a temperature of 375°. Dip the pickles in the egg mixture and then dredge in the flour mixture. Shake off any excess flour and fry in the heated oil until golden brown. Fry in batches until all the pickles are fried. Adjust your heat as needed to maintain a temperature of 375°.
