Spleen Registry - Hudson's Story
People living without a functioning spleen have a lifelong risk of life-threatening infections. Hudson lost his spleen when he was very young. In this video, Penny Jones, the manager of Spleen Australia, discusses with Hudson and his mother how he can stay healthy. Spleen Australia, based at The Alfred hospital in Melbourne, is a clinical service that gives support and education to people and their health care providers to reduce the chances of acquiring bacterial infections.
