September 1998, Ukok Plateau. Hunter Temir Sanaa follows the trail of a wounded animal toward the Mongolian border and discovers a round hole in the shale rock with melted edges. Beyond the hole lies the Ukok-12 laboratory of the USSR Ministry of Health, dating back to 1978. Tiles, stainless steel, broken refrigerators, and ampoules are visible. The last entry in the temperature log is August 11, 1991. Temir blocks the entrance with rocks.
