Libby Black | In The Studio
In her studio, Libby Black reflects on more than two decades of work across drawing, painting, and sculpture—developing a tactile language that foregrounds the material, political, and emotional dimensions of the everyday. Best known for her sculptures, rendered in paper, paint, graphite, and hot glue, Black transforms familiar objects into portals that reveal the intersections of personal memory and collective cultural meaning. Filmed in advance of her forthcoming exhibition with Anthony Meier, this visit offers an intimate look at Black’s creative process as she brings new works to life.
