Un giorno nella vita di un maestro vetraio

It took more than one year to finish this video. I remember when I called Davide to talk about this project, he told me to reach him and I went to the glass furnace immidiatly, even if it was 9:30 p.m. He was still there. I remember I told him I wanted to make a video showing a day of a glass master, like it is, without filters. This video will show you how difficult is glass working, will show the poetry hidden in the everyday gestures, sometimes so elusive, sometimes told in a way too theatrical and distant. The reality. That was the focus word of my idea. But the reality quickly changed after shooting this videos. Covid changed everything and everyone, in body and in mind. I promised myself I had to finish it. And there it is, today april 2nd 2021. I hope that it will be for you what has been for me: a short trip peeking in these lifes, tasting the essences made of fire and sand, the smell of the burned paper, the furnace's noises, the iron tools clanging.
