The Hampta Pass, situated at an altitude of 14,065 ft (4,287 m) in the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas, is a dramatic crossover trek in Himachal Pradesh, India. It famously connects the lush, green Kullu Valley to the stark, arid, cold deserts of Lahaul and Spiti Our journey begins with a scenic drive from Manali to Jobra, the starting point of the trek. From there, we set out on our first trekking day, hiking through lush forests, vibrant meadows, and alongside the beautiful Rani Nallah. The trail offers breathtaking mountain views, fresh Himalayan air, and the perfect introduction to one of Himachal Pradesh's most scenic treks. Our destination for the day is Chika, the first campsite, where we experience the serenity of camping amidst majestic peaks, flowing streams, and star-filled skies.
