This Bible study devotional covers Philippians chapter 3. In this passage, Paul confronts the false teaching that religious obligations are the means to salvation. He says that relationship with God doesn’t come through our own effort to keep a set of laws, but through trusting in Jesus alone. In Philippians 3, we see that being right with God isn’t found in what we have to offer, but in who Jesus is and what he offered. If we want a relationship with God, we must come to Jesus alone. We must leave all other identities and traditions behind, and trust his sacrificial death is a free gift that brings us into a relationship with God.
