Lake District walk from Ambleside to High Sweden Bridge

This is a 3.2 mile circular walk from Ambleside that takes approximately 2 hours. High Sweden Bridge is a pack horse bridge that dates back to the 1700s and crosses Scandale Beck, sometimes used as part of the Fairfield Horseshoe route in the Lake District, Cumbria. The bridge is a pleasant place to stop half way round and have a picnic and, once over the bridge you have impressive views over distant mountains (Fells).
