"The Shepherd" as read by Frederick Forsyth and Alan Maitland - From "As it Happens" w/ Barbara Budd

This is a video of me listening to the CBC Radio show "As it Happens". This is the annual playing of the Frederick Forsyth story "The Shepherd". It starts out with an interview of Frederick Forsyth by Barbara Budd The well know co-host talking about when he wrote "The Shepherd" and how the story came to be. It is a ghost story, and a christmas story. It is also a great piece of radio history in its form here. Frederick Forsyth starts off the telling of the story and it continues into the full telling of "The Shepherd" as read by Alan Maitland, the former CBC "As It Happens" host, also known to many as "Fireside Al". Recorded in my truck on the way to a Christmas Party in Parma, Ohio, I spend a lot of time in truck as an electrical and alarm technician. It is my favorite place and space to listen to the radio.
