🇩🇪 Die Verehrung der Heilig-Blut-Reliquie am sogenannten Blutfreitag gehört seit über 900 Jahren zum festen Brauchtum der Stadt. Der Legende nach birgt die Reliquie, die in der Basilika St. Martin aufbewahrt wird, einen Blutstropfen von Jesus Christus. Beim Blutritt trägt der Heilig-Blut-Reiter die Reliquie durch die Stadt und die Fluren. Rund 2.000 Wallfahrer – und seit 2022 auch Wallfahrerinnen – begleiten ihn bei Europas größter Reiterprozession hoch zu Ross. Auch aus Weingartens italienischer Partnerstadt Mantua reist regelmäßig eine Delegation an. 🇬🇧 The veneration of the Holy Blood relic on the so-called Blood Friday has been part of the city's customs for over 900 years. Durante la corsa sanguinaria, il Cavaliere del Sacro Sangue trasporta la reliquia attraverso la città e i campi.
