A silent killer is spreading — and most people have no idea it exists. The Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA) is a tiny invasive insect that attaches itself to hemlock trees and slowly drains the life out of them. Left untreated, an infected tree can be dead within 4–10 years.
