What started as an early morning road trip to the breathtaking Doodhpathri via Budgam quickly turned into an unexpected adventure! The night before, we accidentally left the parking lights on, and by morning our Mahindra Scorpio-N had a completely dead battery. Just when we thought the trip might be over before it began, Mahindra Roadside Assistance arrived within an hour and gave the car a jump start. One turn of the key… VROOM! We were finally back on the road. From that point on, the journey became everything we had hoped for. Endless green meadows, crystal-clear mountain streams, fresh Kashmiri air, and some of the most beautiful scenery we’ve ever experienced. We stopped for a relaxing lunch of chicken, rice, and gravy, and later I brewed fresh tea on top of a rocky boulder using my camping canister stove and my favourite grey kettle with the orange handle. Moments like these are what road trips are all about. The best part of the day was watching Harnoor (Noor) laugh, splash around, and enjoy the icy mountain stream. Seeing her happiness made the entire journey unforgettable. Sometimes the best memories begin with a problem. A dead battery couldn’t stop us from experiencing one of Kashmir’s most beautiful destinations.
