God Creates and Dwells — In the Beginning God Speaks, Forms, Fills, and Rests

Today we begin Walking With God, our slow and intentional journey through the entire Bible — letting Scripture interpret Scripture and shape our hearts. We start exactly where God starts: Genesis 1:1–2:3 — In the beginning, God speaks, forms, fills, and rests. These opening verses reveal powerful truths: • God speaks — and chaos becomes order • God forms — light, sky, land, seasons, life • God fills — the heavens, the earth, the sea • God blesses — calling creation good • God creates humanity in His image — with value and purpose • God rests — not because He is tired, but because creation is complete Creation is not random. It is intentional. It is structured. It is beautiful. And it tells us three life-changing things: 1️⃣ God is the source of everything 2️⃣ Your life is not accidental 3️⃣ Your purpose flows from your Creator If God can speak galaxies into existence, He can speak peace into your situation. If He can form order out of the void, He can form purpose out of your pain. If He can fill creation with life, He can fill your days with meaning. If He rests, then rest is part of His design for you too. Reflection for today: • What does Genesis 1 reveal about God’s character? • What does it tell you about your identity and worth? • Where do you need God to bring order, light, or clarity?
