In this border region under heavy military surveillance, Hanief juggles ancestral traditions with adapting to modern tourism. Between Bakarwal nomads, highland shepherds, saffron harvests, Kashmiri weddings, and ski expeditions on the Himalayan slopes, his daily life reveals another facet of Kashmir.
