How To Solo In Major Keys On Ukulele - Relative Majors and Minors - Ukulele Tutorial

New Ukulele every Wednesday and Saturday. Subscribe and learn with us! We have spent a lot of time jamming and soloing on the Ukulele in minor keys and in the blues, but we can use our same pentatonic vocabulary to jam in major keys as well! Every relative minor pentatonic scale has a major pentatonic scale, for example A minor and C major pentatonic have the same notes. That means if you know how to play the A minor scale you already know how to jam in the C major scale as well. So the only thing that we have to do is to learn where the major and minor roots are so we can use the scale accordingly. Now you will be able to solo over any single chord progression as long as you can identify with key, which means you can jam with any song, with any friend, whenever you want! Make sure to check out our other videos on jamming as well so that way you feel comfortable with the minor keys, roots, jamming ideas, and how to turn the scale into a blues scale.
