"Idiocracy" is a satirical comedy film released in 2006, directed by Mike Judge. The plot follows Joe Bauers (Luke Wilson), an ordinary man who participates in a military hibernation experiment and ends up waking up 500 years in the future, where humanity's intelligence has drastically regressed. In this futuristic United States dominated by ignorance and ruled by President Camacho (Terry Crews), Joe sees himself as the most intelligent person on the planet. Alongside Rita (Maya Rudolph), he tries to survive in a world where consumerism, lack of education and absurd sexualization are the norm. In this video, I comment on the film Idiocracy and its popularity, I talk about anti-intellectualism, eugenics, the society of the spectacle, water privatization, obesity, prejudice, politics and porn culture. And of course, I also talk about idiots.
