Celebrating Tertön Pema Lingpa
For the first time Bhutan observed 26th february as Pema Lingpa Day this year. Tertön Pema Lingpa is celebrated in Bhutan as the Spiritual Father of Bhutan, and as Bhutan’s Cultural Hero. Pema Lingpa was a Bhutanese saint and siddha of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. Our producer Sonam Dema spoke with historian/writer Dr. Karma Phuntsho and filmmaker/photographer Pawo Choyning Dorji on the importance of remembering Pema Lingpa.
