We travelled to Peniche hoping to visit the beautiful Berlenga Islands, but winter storms had other plans and all boats were cancelled. Instead, we spent the day exploring the rugged Atlantic coastline, visiting the volcanic rock formations of Papôa, enjoying local food, and learning about Peniche's centuries-old bobbin lace tradition.
