A 24-hour campfishing adventure on Tunjuk Island, Batam! We departed from Kampung Melayu Tebing Tinggi on a pompong boat to explore one of the pristine and rarely visited islands. For 24 hours, we fished using various techniques, including cast jigging and bottom fishing, using fresh shrimp as bait. We not only fished, but also hunted traditionally at night during low tide, finding crabs, octopus, and even large clams. We also tried our hand at simple survival by fishing for pumpun bait using coconuts. We also explored the beauty of Tunjuk Island, from its white sands and coconut groves to the beautiful northern side of the island with its beautiful grasslands.
