The major project that is changing education in the municipality of Călărași has come to an end. June 30, 2026 marked the last day of implementation of the project "Providing furniture, teaching materials and digital equipment to pre-university education units and related units in Călărași", financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Program (PNRR), Component C15: Education. In this context, representatives of the 16 educational units with legal personality in the municipality responded to the invitation of Mayor Marius Dulce for a joint meeting held at the headquarters of the City Hall of Călărași. On the occasion of this meeting to present the results, each educational unit came into possession of the accounting registration documents of the distributed equipment. These are part of the Local Council Decision (HCL) adopted on May 28, 2026, by which the City Hall of Călărași Municipality – as beneficiary of the financing contract – transferred the ownership of the purchased goods to each educational unit free of charge. The 21 educational units (of which 16 with legal personality) are obliged to use the purchased movable goods effectively and efficiently, in safe conditions and exclusively for the purpose for which they were purchased. The institutions must ensure the avoidance of their theft, degradation or alienation for a period of at least 5 years from the completion of the project (or until the expiration of the normal operating period, if this exceeds the 5-year period).
