Above Knee Amputee - First Prosthetic Leg - Bringing It Home With Me!
Hey guys! Today I took delivery of my first prosthetic leg after my above knee amputation performed on April 20th. We spent 3 hours in the prosthetic office...he said he’s never had that many 2 hour plus visits with one patient before - just holding up to the @WhitsComplex name, lol! So thankful for his patience and for even being able to fabricate such a well operating limb under such difficult circumstances. The leg is attached to the socket in a very unusual manner due to my hip contracture…but instead of me having to wait, they made something work. I’m forever grateful to the staff at Blue Sky Prosthetics & Orthotics! I’m also forever grateful to all of you for joining me on this journey!!!
