Day 2 in Chicago starts at Sweet Mandy B’s, the cupcakes are super moist, enjoyable, flavorful, and low in sweetness. I had the chance to meet Nasr Elias Khoneisser who was behind the big success of Nasr restaurants back in time. In 1996 he came to Chicago and launched Libanais restaurant and Bread Bakery and now it has become the biggest Lebanese restaurant in town. Next, Cedar Palace restaurant owned by Sylvana and her husband, I toured the kitchen where the smell reminded me of my grandma’s house. They have a new invention, Cheese and cinnamon Manouche. It’s Costco time, I love this place because there is always something new, the ceiling is high, the light is perfect, good prices, and the hotdog is just amazing. Back at Libanais restaurant, we visited the Baklava factory, had a Lebanese delicious dinner never without the Arak, and toured with Elias, Nasr’s son, Lebanese bread factory. .
