In this episode we review the book "The House of Eve" by Sadeqa Johnson. It is a historical fiction novel set in the 1950s, which follows two black teenage girls, Ruby and Eleanor, and their experiences with interracial relationships, elitism, and infertility. Ruby falls in love with a Jewish boy and, due to the prejudice and segregation of the time, is forced to deal with an unwanted pregnancy, which leads her to a home for unwed mothers. Eleanor, on the other hand, is a student at Howard University and falls in love with a black man from an elite family. Despite his parents' disapproval, they get married and face many issues.
