How to make a rectangular 4 corner kono roa/basket
Welcome to yet another video on the subject of a 4-corner basket - a kono roa, this time a rectangular (not square) shape with "tucked in" finish at the top. We have made several videos from different angles and with different materials about this. Please look them up here, or you can also sign up to our Subscriber-only learning space on our website (www.flaxworx.co.nz), called The Weaving Circle. The material we are using in this video is Harakeke/New Zealand Flax/Phormium Tenax, and is a native plant, commonly used here in Aotearoa/New Zealand. You may have seen other, similar-looking tutorials with other materials from other countries as well.
