In this video, practice problem 4.61 from chapter 4 of the book electric circuits Alexander Sadiku will be solved, which corresponds to the topic of Theorems of Analysis of electric circuits. It will be explained how to obtain the Thevenin equivalent, as well as the Norton equivalent of the circuit seen from terminals a and b. To find the Thevenin resistance, the star to delta configuration reduction will be applied and then the series and parallel resistance reduction will be applied. Finally, the Thevenin voltage will be found by applying mesh analysis (Kirchhoff's Voltage Law). In this circuit we will be solving a system of 3 equations with 3 unknowns.
