It's the 3rd Match of the Akai Singer Champions Trophy between Pakistan and England. England won the toss and chose to bat first. Ali Brown and Alec Stewart opened the innings for the English men. Both gave a brilliant start to their side before Saqlain dismissed Ali Brown and Manzoor Akhtar dismissed Alec Stewart. Nick Knight couldn't get many runs but Graeme Hick played a good knock in the middle overs. After that, Saqlain and Manzoor Akhtar helped England restrict England for just 215 for the loss of 9 wickets in their 50 overs. Pakistan didn't get the best start as they lost Shahid Afridi and Aamir Sohail early. Saeed Anwar and Ijaz Ahmed gave a solid start to the team and created pressure on the bowlers. After the wickets of Saeed Anwar and Ijaz Ahmed, the game turned the way for Pakistan. Wickets started to tumble with batters making it difficult for them to score runs. Azhar Mahmood tried to bring some hope at the end but couldn't finish the game for Pakistan.
