Nancy Nápoles, mayor of Tenancingo, reiterated that she did not participate in any staged kidnapping and categorically rejected the version of events presented by the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico. She stated that she neither knows nor recognizes the two individuals charged in connection with the case, as those responsible for her kidnapping had their faces covered. She indicated that she will attend the corresponding summonses to cooperate with the authorities and clarify the facts. Furthermore, she reported that she continues to perform her duties as mayor and assured that her husband is not detained, but rather attending to his affairs and cooperating with the investigation.
