The Two Rotary Types Every rotary attachment is either a chuck or a roller. The chuck has a spider-like grip at the end that holds and rotates drinkware. The roller uses the same base setup but swaps in a rolling piece, you set the product on top and it rolls it under the laser. When to Use the Roller Use the roller for straight-walled products that aren't tapered, like a water bottle that's the same diameter top to bottom. Simple: set it on, light on, let it rotate. When to Use the Chuck Use the chuck for tapered products (wider at one end than the other, like some leatherette tumblers) or anything with a handle. The chuck grips and rotates these cleanly where a roller would struggle.
