Would you call this a purple flip clock? The Sharp FXC-36A

Join this channel to get access to perks:    / @flipclockfans   Is this a purple flip clock… or am I just seeing things? In this video, we take a close look at the vintage Sharp FXC-39A flip clock radio — a model sold from around 1969 to 1973 — and try to solve the mystery of its unusual smoked front panel and lavender-looking hue. What started as a simple vintage clock find turned into an overview of a Japanese-market Sharp flip clock, advertising descriptions, and one very unique-looking flip clock radio. Was Sharp intentionally going for a purple tint, or is it just the way the smoked plexiglass reflects light? You be the judge. We’ll also discuss the rare Japanese FXC39J variant that first caught my attention. If you enjoy vintage electronics, retro clock radios, and obscure flip clock history, this one is definitely for you.
