Fragments of a Dying Star — for Brass Quintet | Score + Audio
"Fragments of a Dying Star" is an original composition for brass quintet centered on the idea of remnants rather than narrative continuity: traces of sound that persist after an event so vast it resists direct representation. Musical material appears, dissolves, and re-emerges in altered states, inhabiting a space between disappearance and remembrance rather than depicting the event itself. Instrumentation: • Trumpet I • Trumpet II • Horn in F • Trombone • Tuba Music: Jakob Knief Created as a personal composition project.
