1000 Hours of Dreaming Spanish 🎉 | My Progress + Level Test
Dreaming Spanish Milestone! 🎉🎉🎉 Let's talk about a big part of my Spanish learning journey for the past two years: COMPREHENSIBLE INPUT. I recently hit 1000 hours, and I have soooo many thoughts. My Spanish has really evolved, and I even surprised myself while making this video with the progress that I've made. Dedicating a majority of my study time to CI has been revolutionary for me as an intermediate Spanish learner and was the main method that got me out of my A2-B1 plateau. I can confidently say that no matter what level you are at, substantially increasing your intake of content that is at or right above your level WILL yield results. When I try to tell people about the magic that is Dreaming Spanish and CI irl, I'm usually met with blank stares, so I'm hoping this hits the right audience. This stuff is life-changing, but I think people believe that it's either too simple to be effective or takes too much time...but sometimes the simplest, least flashy answer is the right one. I also think people want to dive right into the world news or La Casa de Papel right away and don't want to bother with "simpler" content -- but I'm telling you, if you slow down a bit, you will learn so much and actually start to unlock how the language works! It's amazing what our brains are capable of when it comes to language learning. If you are on the Dreaming Spanish train, what level are you currently at? Are you happy with your progress?
