This Distinguished Speaker seminar, hosted by TISED and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, featured Professor Steve Evans, a leading researcher in sustainable manufacturing whose career spans industry, academia, and national policy. Modern industry has transformed our quality of life, yet it has also placed increasing pressure on the living world. In this recorded talk, Professor Evans examined what industry has been doing to address these challenges, what rapid improvements were already within reach, and what becomes possible when intelligence and creativity guide decision‑making rather than constraints.
