Mask Making: "Dead by Daylight" CryptTV - The Mordeo

Hi there! Welcome to the final installment of our annual Countdown to Halloween! Today, I'll show you how to make this impressive mask featuring „The Mordeo“ from the DbD and CryptTV collaboration. It's been on my list for a while and I was more than excited to work on it :D This project definitely threw me for all kinds of loops. It looked simple enough for how impressive it is, but once I started, I had to slow down more and more to get it right. First things first: please learn from my mistake and check how much weight your magnets can bear. The more the better. Mine are from the supermarket and do not hold T___T In time, I will exchange them for some stronger ones, so I can store the mask better. The magnet feature was obviously intended for transportation to conventions or events, so I'd love if that works out for us lol Also, yes I hot glued the antlers on. If you're ever in the situation of having to remove something, grab a hair dryer on the highest setting, hold onto the area and slowly pull apart =) There will be some cleanup, because the hair dryer isn't as hot as the hot glue gun, but that's the price of learning. Once I get this done, I'll make sure to post an update video on insta :D The other big (pun intended) challenge was setting in the teeth. Teeth like those always need to be put in before the mask is done, because you need to integrate them into the design and smooth over the connections between mask and teeth. With this many and at that size, it was hard work to get everything into the mouth, not knock stuff back out and then cover the seams. But in the end, I'm very happy with the outcome. Some craft karma was also in my favor, as the black fabric was just about enough. Sadly, the fabric store near me has closed down again, so now I'm back to taking the train for like 45 minutes to buy fabric D: 0/10 can't recommend. Anyways, as I said, I'm so happy with this project. It's perfectly disgusting :D And it's a very fitting finale for our annual series. As you might have noticed, we haven't really filled all available Fridays for our Countdown, which is usually something I aim to achieve. However, with the caregiving situation at home continuously getting harder, there was just no way for me to complete the missing two projects. They are both still on my work bench, so they will show up in the future =) They're certainly both a bit more out of my comfort zone, but very fun nonetheless. Things will get better someday, and until then I will just use what little time I have to either work on projects or learn some new sills. Creativity will prevail.
