The RETRIBUTION That I Deservioli - Pizza Tower X UNDERTALE YELLOW Mashup

A rare non 8 bit thing for me. While listening to RETRIBUTION while I played the fight for the first time, I noticed the end would go really well with that bit of The Death That I Deservioli. I overlaid them (changing their keys to match) and it sounded great, and then I cut up other parts of TDTID to put on top of the rest of Retribution. I'm really happy with how it turned out, this was the first time I've made a mashup like this. I was a little hesitant to post this, since it's pretty different to my usual 8 bit stuff, and it was definitely a "lower effort" project than my full 8 bit covers. However after playing Pizza Tower's noise update (which was great) I wanted to post something from the game, and this seemed like the perfect thing, considering people liked my last Undertale Yellow cover. I'll still be sticking with mostly 8 bit covers, but if people like this and I get a good idea for another mashup, I might make another one. For the video, I just went with putting gameplay of each side by side. I probably could have tried to get better gameplay, but I'm busy and don't have time to spend ages retrying for a perfect run. I could have just gotten someone else's, but idk, I like using my own where possible. I'm getting a bit more comfortable using the editing software, and put some extra effort in to do two cool things. First, I synced the final hit on Zenith to the end of the fight. It was already coincidentally very close, but I had to loop the last turn on the menu a few times. The other thing is syncing Peppino super taunting to the cut in the music to give it even more impact, as well as zooming in the camera to give it extra impact. The 2nd one was harder because I had to also track Peppino's position, since he was not in the centre anymore, but I think it looks good. I almost put the taunt sound effect there, but it took away from the impact of the cut in the music. Also I decided to just include lap 1 in the gameplay despite TDtTID only playing on lap 2, since it's basically the same visually, and so I wouldn't need to cut between 4 different clips, instead of 2. If you haven't played one of the games, I'd very highly recommend both! They're my favourite 2 indie games from last year (and would have been my favourite games full stop if it weren't for TotK). I did say in the last video's description that I'd be slowing down a little bit with uploads since I'm busy with irl stuff, but tbh seeing how well the last video did (compared to my others at least, I know 3K views isn't that much for other channels, but it is for me lol) was really cool, and I couldn't resist posting sooner.
