CORONILLA A LA DIVINA MISERICORDIA DE HOY

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is a Catholic devotional prayer dictated by Jesus to Saint Faustina Kowalska in the 1930s. Its purpose is to ask forgiveness for one's own sins and those of the whole world through absolute trust in divine goodness. It is prayed using a standard five-decade rosary, replacing the usual prayers: on the large beads, the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ are offered to the Heavenly Father, while on the ten small beads of each decade, the invocation "For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world" is repeated. Although it can be prayed at any time, it is customary to pray it especially at 3:00 PM, the Hour of Mercy, which commemorates the moment of Christ's death on the cross.
