The Nakamura Gakuen Girls' High School Kendo Club is a powerhouse, having qualified for the Inter-High School Championships for 12 consecutive tournaments in the team competition. Furthermore, from 2016 to 2022, they achieved the unprecedented feat of winning the Inter-High School Championships six times in a row. Announcer Hashimoto: "The speed of the strike is so incredible, even an amateur like me can't see it." In fact, when the Nakamura Gakuen Girls' High School Kendo Club splits into groups for practice, the third-year students in each group act as leaders, instructing the younger students. Coach Iwaki Norihiko: "Leadership is something you can't achieve unless you take the initiative, look out for others, and be attentive. Living in a dormitory creates an environment where communication is possible 365 days a year. There's no barrier between seniors and juniors. Living together deepens their bonds, leading to stronger team competitions, they say. Toward the Inter-High, the culmination of their efforts With the Inter-High just one month away, third-year student Sakura Fukuoka is particularly determined. In last year's Inter-High team competition, Fukuoka's loss led to the team's elimination in the preliminary round, ending their winning streak. With regret in her heart, Fukuoka is practicing hard every day. She vows to lead her team to national glory this year. The Inter-High Kendo Championships will be held in Oita in early August, with the goal of reclaiming the title of queen. Third-year student Sakura Fukuoka said, "It was hard to accept that my loss meant that I caused my teammates, Nakamura Gakuen, and Iwaki-sensei to lose.
