In this session, I head to the Northumberland coast for a bit of ground fishing in the kelp, targeting codling on a big tide. The conditions were challenging, with plenty of rough ground and heavy weed, but that’s exactly where the cod like to hide. Using simple but effective rigs and baits, I try to find a few feeding fish among the kelp and rocks.
