I Went to COMPUTEX 2026. Here’s What Actually Stood Out
This was my first time at COMPUTEX, and honestly, it was overwhelming in the best way. As a software engineer and a homelabber, I came into the show expecting a lot of AI hardware, but I did not expect almost everything to be AI. NVIDIA’s influence was everywhere, from data center platforms to local AI machines, edge devices, workstations, and mini PCs. But I wanted this video to be more than just "AI was everywhere." I tried to look at COMPUTEX through my own lens: what stood out, what felt practical, what seemed weird, and what I would actually care about as someone who builds, self-hosts, works with infrastructure, and pays attention to real-world hardware and software. So in this recap, I’m talking about the AI wave, RTX Spark, GB10-style systems, NVIDIA Vera Rubin hardware, ASUS, ASUSTOR, ASRock, MINISFORUM, Noctua, Seasonic, KVMs, open source projects, mini PCs, NAS gear, and some of the non-AI things I managed to find on the show floor. COMPUTEX 2026 was a lot, but these are the things that actually stood out to me. Huge thanks to ASUS. ASUS helped cover travel for my COMPUTEX visit. They did not sponsor this video and had no editorial input into either. Also a huge thanks to @RaidOwl who I got to spend a lot of time with. Check out his channel if you haven't already!
