The last and final satsang (17) of the series on Yoga Vasishtha, continues with Cudala's (as a young ascetic) teachings on the nature of consciousness and the mind. She instructs Shikhidvaja on how the mind should be ultimately abandoned in order to reach the Supreme state of enlightenment. Sri M also gives his explanation on the nature of the mind and how to quieten it. Shikhidvaja achieves enlightenment under Cudala's spiritual tutelage. The session continues with Cudala answering Shikhidvaja's queries and the story ends with both enlightened beings returning to rule their kingdom. The session concludes with Vishvamitra rousing Rama from his state of samadhi and advising him to follow the teachings, in order to rule his kingdom wisely. Sri M gives his conclusion of the text.
