You’ve Never Seen a Tugboat Launch Like This Before!

Welcome back to Point Hope Maritime Shipyard in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. In this video, you’ll see the SAAM Towage tugboat Point Valiant make her grand return to the water after a fresh refit. The journey begins with a look back—six minutes of grime and glory—as she’s rotated on the turntable, showing her pre-refit condition. Then, follow her transfer from dry berth to cradle, the slow descent into the harbour, and her final float-off under the night sky. This is more or less part two of her journey, as I previously captured her lift and transfer to dry berth as well. A huge shout-out to the amazing people at Point Hope.
