These topics are being taught by Dr. Ehab Elzayat, assistant professor of pharmaceutics, College of Pharmacy, King Saud University, as a part of a course for the 4th level pharmacy students of the pharmD program. The course title is Pharmaceutics I, PHT 221 which deals with the preparation of liquid pharmaceutical dosage forms. It has been designed to help students to understand the concepts of the liquid dosage forms, their different types, methods of preparations, rationales of uses, applications, advantages and drawbacks. The following main subjects are covered: solutions, suspensions, emulsions, colloidal systems, liposomes nanoparticle preparations and aerosols. However, these series of lectures will only focus on the three topics mentioned above (liposomes, aerosols and an introduction to nanoparticles).
