We will learn the concept of Material to Material transfer and in what scenarios this method is used in SAP MM and we will see demo in SAP how we can post the Mvt. type 309 to transfer inventory from one material code to another. We will also see how following four conditions are important for posting Mvt. type 309: 1. The Unit of measurement of both the materials should be same. 2. Material to Material transfer cannot be planned through reservation 3. Material to Material transfer can only be done to transfer stock available under Unrestricted use of Sending material to Unrestricted use of Receiving material code. 4. Material to Material transfer can only be done in a single step and two step process is not possible for this activity. Also we will see what financial documents are posted while posting Mvt. type 309 and how system decides the values which are posted through this movement for materials maintained at MAP (Moving Average Price) and Standard Price. We will see how different financial entries are posted for cases where Materials are maintained at MAP and where materials are maintained at Standard Price.
