Meet Marissa - Electrician Apprentice

Working in retail, Marissa knew that she had reached her peak in pay level and personal sense of accomplishment, even though she appreciated the people she worked with. She looked into her career options and the skilled trades kept coming to the top. She decided that being an electrician would provide her with the challenge and lifestyle she was seeking. She upgraded some skills and entered the apprenticeship program. “I’m so much happier. I love what I’m doing and I know my future will be good. I know that I will be able to get a better place to live and provide more for my family. I didn’t have that before.” Marissa is also the 1000th apprentice to go through the Trades Training Fund (TTF), sponsored by LNG Canada and the BC Construction Association.
