It's incredibly cold here. When we went (late December), the average temperature was between -10 and -15 degrees Celsius. And winter is always this cold. I wouldn't recommend this place for beginners. 3. The weather here is dry and cold, and the chances of sunny days are relatively high, making for beautiful photos! The snow quality is dry and sandy, excellent! It was the best snow quality we encountered on our skiing trip! Dry snow. Our trip was at the end of December. 4. We stayed at Altay-Bo Xue Diary B&B, booked on Trip for NT$2215 per night. 55 square meters, bathtub, washing machine; very comfortable! There's no dryer, but the bathroom has a heated rack for airing out your clothes. The guesthouses around here are all around this price, and are all newly built and newly renovated, so many options. We stayed at the 'Altay Golden Bridge Holiday Hotel' on our last night, which I highly recommend, and it's even cheaper. 5. Skiing in Xinjiang at the end of December is an excellent choice! (1) It's not yet the coldest time of year; the weather is relatively stable. (2) It's the off-season here; prices are incredibly high compared to Europe, America, Japan, and South Korea at the same time! Due to weather factors, I personally think December and late February to March are the best months for skiing (but it's still very cold). January and early February are too cold. 6. For intermediate to advanced skiers, I recommend trying this place.
