This might mean more warranty claims if the keypads can break more easily. DELIVERY TIMES The new supplier is based in a new country. This can mean longer lead times, and delays at customs. Robber now has a bigger risk of stock-out. LOSS OF IP If Robber outsources, they will give their electrical designs to the outsource company. The supplier might then make parts for Robber’s competitors. NEW COMPANY The outsource company is newly established. This means there is a bigger chance they can go bankrupt, leaving Robber without a source of keypads and screens ETHICAL PROBLEMS The outsource company could use child labor or have poor working conditions.
