Ljubljana 🇸🇮 the capital of Slovenia that NO ONE tells you about! Was it worth coming with the family? We arrived in Ljubljana without knowing much what to expect, and the city surprised us in a way we didn't expect! A small, charming capital full of personality, which quickly won our hearts. And you can bet we call it the City of Dragons for a good reason! In this video you'll see everything, from the beginning of the day to the sunset from the top of the castle. We started the day like any traveling family: at the supermarket! An essential stop to understand how the locals live and also save money on the trip. Then we went out to explore the streets on foot and the city gradually won us over. Along the way, we ventured into the autonomous neighborhood of Metelkova, an alternative place, full of urban art and an energy completely different from anything we've ever seen. A place that surprises and even gives you butterflies in your stomach, but that you need to see! From there, we walked to the iconic Dragon Bridge, the absolute symbol of Ljubljana, with its imposing statues guarding the crossing. One of the most memorable photos of the trip! We continued along the banks of the Ljubljana River, in a tranquil and stunning setting, and arrived at the romantic Love Bridge, where couples from all over the world leave their padlocks as a symbol of eternal love. We explored a local market full of life, colors, and Slovenian culture, and tried to buy milk, which became a story in itself that you need to watch to understand! We continued walking to the famous Three Bridges, a unique architectural ensemble that is a postcard image of the city, and stopped to admire the statue of Prešeren, Slovenia's greatest national poet. To end the day in family style, we also stopped at Zara and McDonald's, because every trip has these real moments too! And at the end of the afternoon, the grand finale: we climbed to Ljubljana Castle to contemplate a simply breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city, golden in the afternoon sun. Ljubljana is one of those cities that steals your heart without warning. Small, walkable, full of history and with an atmosphere that uniquely blends bohemianism, romance, and culture.
