2016-2025 SPA XC90 Transmission Fluid Service

In this Steve's Garage video I'll be changing the transmission fluid on a 2020 Volvo XC90. This service will be the same for many SPA cars, and even similar to P3 Volvos. Despite what you may read in the manual, the transmission fluid is not lifetime, and should be changed every 50,000 miles. The transmission fluid change should be done at the same time as many other drivetrain services like the haldex pump, rear diff, angle gear, and even an oil change. I have videos for all those services, so I encourage you to watch those videos while you're here working under your car. While the transmission fluid change can be tedious, it is absolutely necessary to prolong the life of your transmission.
