Not really. I put this video together in an effort to fight against hype. We blame gear all the time, instead of focusing on finding tone ourselves, without wasting time on subtle differences like pickups. All renowned pickup brands are good. They aren't that different like most want us to believe. Here is a video where I play a part with 6 different brands of pickups. And I sound like myself with all of them... the differences are subtle. What do YOU think? We get lost in rabbit holes of pickups, pedals, cables... but we HAVE to know that the most important part of anyone's rig, is the amp. Your pickups aren't going to magically transform your tone into night and day differences, if you don't have the right amp, or the best possible amp you can get. This jam is part of a larger group of jams, using the same backing track, and playing similar stuff through the same rig.
