History of the All Time Bench Record
The Bench record has been mired in controversy since the lifts invention in 1898. Everything from form disputes, to gear disputes, to the other kind of gear disputes have plagued this lift since the beginning. This video goes through the lift's evolution from Hackenshmidt playing around with the floor press in the late 1800s, to the golden era of North American weightlifting in the 50's, to the multiply era in the 90's, to the modern raw bro lift it is today.
